Portfolio Management
Do you yearn for some financial advice from a real human being? Robo-advisors might be the right tool for some but others prefer a more personal experience when it comes to the management of their portfolios.
I love to talk with people about their lives – the good and the not-so-good. I have been working with many of the same clients for 20 years now and it is my privilege to be their trusted advisor. In my view, money is a metaphor for life and real dialogue leads to better-managed portfolios.
What does it mean to be a good portfolio manager? To me it means:
- Having a deep understanding of my clients’ values and their dreams for the future.
- Building portfolios that reflect the objectives of the person behind the portfolio.
- Making finance accessible – I use plain language and I want everyone to understand what is going on with their money.
- Getting back to clients right away; and using their preferred methods of communication.
- Meeting face-to-face at least twice a year; and at their preferred location.
- Investing with one of the world’s most reputable money managers: www.cumberlandprivate.com
- Following the CFA Institute Code of Ethics and Standards of Professional Conduct
Nobody can control the markets. But I can control my level of customer service and I can structure investment portfolios that make sense. I am interested in people and their stories.
